There are many different kinds of home teeth whitening kits available to buy. How the Custom Made Home Teeth Whitening Kit Works

This mold is then sent to a laboratory where it is converted into a custom fitted tray which is filled with carbamide peroxide gel and pressed onto the teeth. The gel is broken down and oxidizes the particles that are responsible for causing discoloration of your teeth.

The main advantages of custom made home teeth whitening kits are that they are very comfortable, due to their custom fitting. They also cost considerably less than professional teeth whitening at the dentists office. They are easy to use and have been shown to be safe in numerous clinical studies. They are more effective than other methods of tooth whitening and tooth bleaching, whitening up to 10 shades lighter as opposed to 5 shades for other methods.
There have been mild side effects reported, namely sensitive teeth and irritation of the gums. These are rare, and usually temporary, disappearing within half an hour of removing the tray.
One major disadvantage is in the area of customer service. The labs that you ship your molds off to are often in a different state and if there is a problem with your fitted tray, it can be difficult to get comeback. If you have a similar problem with a tray that you get from your dentist, you can just take it back to the dentist’s office, but that isn’t so easy when the lab is on the other side of the country. However, clients report 95% satisfaction with the products, so unless you are one of the other 5%, that shouldn’t be an issue.
Custom made home teeth whitening kits do not work on caps or dentures, only on your own natural teeth. In fact, there is no way to whiten dentures beyond their original color – you would need to get them replaced with a whiter model.
